Emma Jean Scott

Wait…who?

My name is Emma Jean Scott, and I am a young filmmaker based in Atlanta, GA!

I recently graduated from Oglethorpe University with a BA in Theatre and a minor in Film & Media Studies. My filmmaking centers around queer stories and reflections of personal experience- aiming to blend grounded stories and fantastical settings. A career goal for me is to create a feature fantasy film with central queer characters- a sight that young me would be over the moon to see.

A few of my favorite films are “Alien: Romulus” (2024), “Fried Green Tomatoes” (1991), “Fight Club” (1999), “Being John Malkovich” (1999), and “It’s What’s Inside” (2024).
